Supreme Court's Involvement in Environmental Initiative
On Saturday, Chief Justice B.R. Gavai, along with other judges of the Supreme Court, took part in a tree planting event as part of the Forest Festival 2025. This initiative is set to last for a month.
During the event, the Chief Justice planted a tree at the 'President's Body Guard Ground' in Delhi, dedicating it to his mother under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign. Other judges present included Justice Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice M.M. Sundresh, Justice A.G. Masih, Justice K.V. Vishwanathan, Justice P.S. Narasimha, Justice Manmohan, Justice Sanjay Karol, along with their family members. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and various legal officials were also in attendance.
